Love A Greyhound is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit registered charity based in South East and Central Queensland. We’re dedicated to finding retired racing greyhounds their forever home. We provide essential vet care, plenty of love, and a comfy place to land while we help them find their perfect forever families.

Hound Of The Week
Mercedes is 5 years young and spent the last two years living as a pet before coming into care with Love A Greyhound. During her routine vet work, she unfortunately tested positive for heartworm disease. Mercedes has already started her treatment plan and will remain with us for several months while she recovers and gets ready to find her forever or foster home. She’s a sweet, friendly, affectionate girl with so much love to give.

Foster Fail Alert - Tigger's story
It took less than two days before my husband realised he was in trouble; we knew pretty early Tigger was going to end up a foster fail! I think it was only a week or so into his foster life that we were seriously discussing whether we wanted to keep him.
He's such a gentle, sweet dog that adores everyone he meets, letting them have a pat before leaning his head into them and stealing their hearts. The first time someone asked us when he would be coming up for adoption cemented our decision; we realised we couldn't bear to let him go!
So far we've enjoyed beach trips, cafe and brewery outings, jaunts to Bunnings and the pet shop, and even a sleepover with Nana! Tigger fits perfectly into our outgoing lives, and looks forward to meeting new human and doggy friends at every turn, and then coming home to his cosy bed and favourite caterpillar toy!
